AudiBibles

In my post this past Sunday, I mentioned AudiBibles and I wanted to take a moment to tell you exactly what these are!  If you'll go back with me to my friend Tessa that left Tulear back in June, she was here to do story crafting - you can read more about the storying process here - and by His grace finished before her term was up!  We were all VERY excited to see this 2 - 2 1/2 year project come to such a fruitful end!  The end result is over 10 Bible stories in 3 different dialects of the SW People Groups, with the Tanalana/Mahafaly dialect having 42 stories!
These AudiBibles are small, handheld, solar powered, audio devices.  We preload the SD cards with the Bible stories in each dialect and then are able to give them to those who will use them to share stories with their villages, groups, or families.  Tessa recorded the stories with nationals who speak each dialect, so instead of the Malagasy people hearing a foreigner tell the stories, they are hearing one of their own speak God's word.
We started off with about 35 of them, and have recently gotten 50 more thanks to the generosity of Faith Baptist and men from my dad's Sunday School class.  Thank you so much for supporting this work and helping spread God's word throughout SW Madagascar!
